Reports directly to: Director of Operations.

 

Well established and growing General Contractor and Construction Manager based in Naples Florida. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall project set-up, execution and management. The Project Manager will be focused on a multi-project platform that primarily involves orchestrating the various project components on remodeling projects ranging between $5,000 and $100,000. This position will include estimating the project in conjunction with Sales, proposal/quotes generation, processing/executing change orders and other project related documents as well as working closely with the Purchasing and Scheduling Manager, Permitting/Design Manager, and Field Supervisor(s) to ensure that materials and labor are being properly scheduled and delivered to the jobsites.

· Maintain communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, municipality representatives and internal team members.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

· Plan and execute each project in accordance with the Director of Operations. Work closely with the Sales Associates, Purchasing & Scheduling Manager and Field Supervisor in defining the project and overseeing the work done by in-house technicians, trade contractors, vendors, suppliers, and others.

· Work closely with Sales in estimating each project to meet the customer’s scope of work.

· Maintain a “best in class” attitude toward customers, fellow employees and tradespeople.

· Work closely with project teams to identify potential issues and be actively involved in problem solving ahead of the issue.

· Monitor and document each project’s progress through proposal to punchout and receipt of final payment.

· Participate in weekly staff meetings and be prepared to discuss progress, schedule, job cost, lead times and/or issues impacting scope, schedule and budget.

· Update the project schedules weekly and communicate with all stakeholders, customers, team members, trades/subcontractors and materials people on a regular/daily basis as needed.

· Responsible for project file maintenance in compliance with OSHA, state regulations, and ensuring completion for use in legal proceedings if needed.

· Work closely with the Permitting/Design Manager to generate design drawings for customer approval and to obtain permits.

· Generate and distribute all contracts and change orders, tracking approvals as they occur.

· Responsible for execution on all other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred.

· 5-10 years of experience in construction project management required.

· Valid driver’s license required.

· Exceptional communication and effective listening skills.

· Understanding of blueprints, shop drawings, and submittals.

· CSI Division knowledge.

· Sage Project Management, UDA ConstructionOnline, Procore, MS Office knowledge preferred

· Ability to read people and adapt your approach to achieve results.

· Effective contributor and team player, which can plan and organize a team with the capacity to motivate and boost morale.

 

Work Environment

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will exert up to 50 pounds of force. frequently in a field environment, and 10 pounds of force frequently in an office environment.

· Frequent general office equipment operation, including computer work, and telephone usage.

· Frequent walking, standing, sitting.

· Occasional bending, stooping.
