Superintendent – Huntsville, AL
* This role is for commercial construction with a General Contractor
Responsibilities
• Construction Superintendent holds the ultimate construction responsibility.
• Expert knowledge of assigned Plans and Specs
• Superintendent to work directly with Project Manager
• Participates in assigned the project’s preconstruction phase if necessary.
• Monitor assigned project’s quality control plan.
• Create short-interval look-ahead project schedules that make sure that upcoming events are communicated and tracked.
• Maintain a safe job site, by documenting and implementing Our Client’s Safety Plan
• Ensuring all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and the community in which the project(s) takes place.
• Construction Superintendent must operate under tight construction schedules.
• Managing self-performed activities to ensure that work is being performed within the established project budget.
• Train as we go mentality – Assistant Superintendent or other assigned staff.
• Present a professional representation to Architect, Engineers & Owner
• Abide by the Client’s project management procedures and processes.
• Construction Superintendent to complete and retain daily reports.
• Properly documents project and subcontractor performance.
• Monitors and ensures the delivery of project materials & long lead materials.
• Lead weekly subcontractor’s meetings and hold leaders accountable to schedules.
• Establishing and maintaining all dimensional controls for the project to include the use of third-party survey and layout personnel when appropriate.
• Managing changes in project scope to ensure that the most contemporary contract documents are being used at all times to prevent avoidable rework.
• Maintains a clean/presentable construction trailer and jobsite.
• Preferred – Ability to maintain and update Project Schedule using Oracle P6

Salary & Benefits
• Pay Range: $100,000 – $120,000 (Full-Time Salary) – Negotiable

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction Science or Related Area of Study (Preferred)
Experience:
• Commercial Construction Superintendent: 5 years (Preferred)

•This client opened an office in Huntsville, AL at the beginning of 2022 and secured $70M under contract in its first year. Our office is located across the street from the Mid-City District in Perimeter Corporate Park. The office is led by General Manager, Mat Herbert. With a robust backlog of bidding opportunities, along with privately negotiated design-build projects. The Client is set to grow with Huntsville’s impressive economy. Although early in its formation, The Clients Huntsville office offers the capacity for clear growth into management roles. This position would report to the General Superintendent, Greg Moseley and the General Manager, Mat Herbert.
• Projects on the Horizon:
o +/- 550,000 SF Industrial Speculative – Tilt Up
o +/- $30M to $70M Manufacturing Facilities
o $15M to $50M Institutional Projects – (School, Local Government)
o Downtown Corporate Office Renovations
o Mixed Use Developments – High End Condominiums / Entertainment

o Hotel Projects
o Mul?family Projects
• Coverage Areas:
o From our Huntsville Office – Red Pin:
? Decatur: +/- 20 Minutes
? Muscle Shoals: +/- 60 Minutes
? Cullman: +/- 50 Minutes
? Guntersville: +/- 45 Minutes
• Changing Locations Due to Hire:
o Client is willing to negotiate compensation for travel expenses related to moving for this position.
o Based on availability, stage of the project being hired for, and other possible factors the client is willing to negotiate coverage for temporary housing until suitable lodging accommodations are found.
