Responsibilities
- Administer and supervise contract monitoring, contract administration and compliance for renewable energy projects in excess of $100M each.
- Assist in resolving contract payment disputes and confer with contractors and other divisions concerning contract payments and compliance. Ensure all communication is organized and stored electronically in APMS as per requirements.
- Implement and interpret policies and procedures. Develop, recommend, and coordinate the implementation of new procedures for the assigned function.
- Develop and maintain electronic file management in APMS for all contract related documents.
- Responsible for coordinating flow of construction documents (Contracts, Change Orders, Owner, Contractor, Vendor and Subcontractor liens, Insurance Certificates). Ensure communications to management of issues as they arise.
- Facilitate development of construction team members in understanding and managing contracts by providing training, constructive feedback and continuous coaching/mentoring.
- Ensure contract compliance tracking and reporting for engineering and construction contracts.
- Work with the engineering and construction team, procurement and legal to prepare contracts and exhibits for the RFP process as well as for contract award. Ensure all packages are maintained in APMS as well as any revision or clarifications.
- Ensure all project documentation related to contracts is properly closed out and the records are maintained in an orderly fashion as required within APMS.
- 2-5 years’ experience as a Construction Contract Administrator.
- Demonstrated history of working with large construction service and equipment contracts value in ranges of $5M -200M.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Possess the ability to think and analyze situations and determine and implement effective resolutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to successfully interact with key executives, external and internal customers.
- Prior experience negotiating 3rd party contracts.
