Summary
The Electrical Field Engineer/Coordinator provides overall direction and management for our client's distribution construction operations. In this position you will lead the construction team, which may include Craftsmen, Field Engineers, and the General Foreman. This position involves a high level of responsibility requiring strong management and supervision skills.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the successful field management of all electrical distribution and substation construction and maintenance projects, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and budget goals
Ensure all construction activities comply with the customer’s program procedures and H&M policies and processes
Responsible for supervision and oversight of EPC Field Superintendents and General Foreman
Coordinate with the field support team to ensure proper coordination of materials, equipment, and tools
Serve as the lead construction representative during customer meetings and constructability reviews
Provide input and value on customer project walk downs with regard to constructability observations, environmental/access factors, and risk factors
Preferred Skills and Expertise
10 years or more experience in electrical engineering or field work with oversight of electrical and construction contractors
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, EPC field superintendents and foremen, contractors, members of the field support and project management teams, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of high voltage electrical start-up and construction
Strong leadership and safety oversight skills
