Description
Our client, a large refinery in Ingleside, TX is looking for a HSE advisor for a 10 month contract. The individual must be skilled in OSHA and must have previous HSE experience in refinery settings. Per Diem is offered for this role.

Requirements
• The individual in this position is responsible for providing technical and functional HSE support during the construction and commissioning of the project. This position is construction site/field based.
• This position will conduct auditing and inspection activities that will help ensure that construction contractors are meeting operations integrity objectives and health, safety and environmental (HSE) performance goals. These goals and objectives will be aligned with the Operations Integrity Management System (COIMS) and the Project’s Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) Standards.
• Conduct audits and inspections using the SafetyCulture verification tool.
• Conduct and/or review quality of incident investigations.
• Facilitate partnership for safety program where required.
• Audit performance of contractor’s safety management system.
• Coach and mentor company and contractor reps in safety management and safe work practices.
• Participate in hazard and risk assessments.

• Training in the field of Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma or Degree would be considered an asset.
• Minimum of 2-3 years specific experience in a prior HSE role including direct responsibility for the administration of Health, Safety and Environment management programs for the construction, offshore or marine industry.

• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
