We are seeking a remote contract Owner's Engineer to assist our client, a leader in the energy industry. They are passionate about locally produced clean power that is environmentally friendly and helps reduce energy costs.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to our client's project finance team and other project teams
- Managing third-party Independent Engineers (IEs) to support project financing
- Coordinating with internal teams to provide necessary documentation to the IE
- Addressing IE and financial counterparty questions and requests
- Obtaining IE reports and certificates
- Reviewing IE deliverables for accuracy and reasonableness
- Opining on questions of bankability/financeability of equipment and contract terms
- In all activities seeking to enhance/preserve project value while minimizing operational risks
- Other activities as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in engineering or related field
- 3+ years of relevant solar energy industry experience
- Independent Engineering experience, advanced degrees, and/or additional relevant work experience would be desired
