- Manage residential construction projects from preconstruction through close out
- Assist with planning and analysis of preconstruction activities and conceptual design issues
- Coordinate and assist in the development of construction drawings, bid documents and project schedule
- Lead preconstruction planning meetings with designers, contractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, system conflicts, sequencing, and/or quality control
- Lead project bidding and contractor selection
- Understand the project schedule and work to ensure on-time completion from the design and construction teams
- Track project construction costs and budget
- Perform site inspections at required intervals
- Create and update weekly and monthly reports on planning, design, and construction activities
- Travel to out-of-town as required to sites to make inspections at manufacturers facilities, qualify new vendors, etc
Preferred Skills & Experience
- BS degree required, preferably in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or Business Mgmt
- 8+ years of relatable experience or training, preferably in residential projects
- Professional, self-starter who is reliable and in tune with client needs
- Ability to maintain long-term relationships with clients and business professionals
- Creative and advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to transfer prior experience to new projects
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Excel required. Some Bluebeam, Procore, or other web-based project management tools strongly desired.
