Summary 
We have an immediate need for a Quality Inspector at our Client's global headquarters in Franklin Park, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Use precision gages.
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform duties to inspect in process production, parts, sub assemblies, finished products in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Perform process auditing duties as assigned.
  • Perform a variety of inspection activities involving machinery, polishing, plating, assembling, and assembly packing operations.
  • Check and approve first piece parts for new setups as required.
  • Make ordinary gauging setups using fixtures or gauges provided or following setup by others on more complicated work.
  • Check ECN's to ensure latest revision is in place and request latest print as needed.
  • Review specific operation quality problems and work with the Quality Engineer and Manufacturing Engineering as needed to develop corrective action.
  • Verify that processes are followed according to established procedures.
  • Conduct machine and process capability analysis under the supervision of the Quality Engineer.
  • Perform scheduled audits and 100% inspections as assigned.
  • Responsible for notifying setter, supervisor, and quality engineer of excessive defects and jobs running out-of-specification and ensure corrective action is taken.

Qualifications

  • Must pass the initial test. This test will go over measurements on a blueprint, GD&T symbols, Dimensions, and Angles.
