Per Se Group has a special opportunity for a Construction Project Engineer with our premier consultant client in the luxury residential construction sector. To be a match for this role, you must be self-motivated, a creative thinker, and possess a deep knowledge of construction processes. Well versed in scheduling, building methods, and technically integrated home systems, you will work hand in hand with the Project Manager to execute high-value single family projects from start to finish. You will play an important role in helping our client exceed their customers’ expectations in this full-time direct hire position.
Responsibilities
- Manage smaller scale owner consultants
- Author, edit and distribute meeting minutes.
- Perform inspections, recognize defects, and recommend remediation for key aspects of construction.
- Communicate with site superintendent to monitor construction progress.
- Review and file all contractor and consultant field reports and coordinate all site photography and as-built record keeping
- Review invoices, pay applications and change orders to assure pricing is accurate, fair and comprehensive.
- Facilitate contract execution, lien waivers, and certificates of insurance.
Preferred Skills and Expertise
- 5 or more years of construction, architecture, or engineering experience, with a related college degree preferred
- Full time access to a car and reside in the Chicagoland area.
- Willingness to travel both locally and out of state
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a professional capacity within a field and office environment
