This role involves entry-level professional engineering work, including developmental assignments focusing on applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria under close supervision. The candidate will engage in water and wastewater plant design calculations, plan preparation, specifications, and quantity take-offs.
General Responsibilities
- Execute assigned tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Adjust and interpret data.
- Identify discrepancies and follow through related processes.
- Exercise limited judgment in method selection and adoption of alternatives.
Required Education/Licenses
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Required Experience
- 2 or more years of post-graduate experience in detailed civil design of land development water and wastewater facilities, including sanitary lift stations, water plants, and wastewater treatment plants; or Master’s Degree with 1 year of experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships.
- Experience using AutoCAD for detailed civil design of land development water and wastewater facilities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Houston area agency approval process is a plus.
