Summary

Per Sé Group is hiring a detail-oriented Electrical AutoCAD Drafter to support our client’s electrical engineering and design team in Scottsdale, AZ.  Our client is one of the largest developers and operators of clean energy in the United States with over 7 gigawatts of wind, solar, and energy storage in operation.

To be a great match for this role, you will have hands-on experience drafting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, converting PDF drawings into AutoCAD files, and maintaining organized project documentation. This role offers a blend of technical drafting, drawing management, and collaboration with project teams in the electric utility substation environment. This role has the potential for a hybrid schedule (remote on Mondays and Fridays) and may also convert to a full-time employee based on performance and workload. 

Responsibilities
 

• Convert existing PDF drawings into AutoCAD format and update as needed.
• Draft and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Maintain an organized file management system ensuring all drawings are current and accessible.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with project standards.
• Assist in tracking drawing revisions and document control processes.
• Support project documentation efforts and contribute to workflow improvement.

Preferred Skills and Expertise
 

• 15 years of professional drafting experience (preferably in electrical design).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD strong ability to create and modify electrical drawings.
• Experience with schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Exposure to or experience with electric utility substations.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and file management discipline.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
• Experience working with engineering or utility design teams preferred.
• Familiarity with document control systems and drawing standards preferred. 

The pay range for this role is $30-$35/hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
