Per Sé Group is seeking a TA Lead Planner (Mechanical Focus) to oversee turnaround planning, scheduling, and execution in a refinery or petrochemical environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional experienced in managing complex turnaround projects, developing detailed work packages, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution.

Responsibilities

  • Compile turnaround work lists with core teams and review all field jobs

  • Risk-rank turnaround scope and lead supporting planner staff

  • Develop step-by-step, resource-loaded schedules in Primavera P6

  • Produce and issue contractor work packages, including drawings and material lists

  • Build detailed, bottom-up turnaround cost estimates and lead boardwalk meetings

  • Determine, audit, and coordinate manpower and service contractors

  • Procure long-lead materials in coordination with supply chain

  • Develop and submit turnaround AFEs and manage change order processes

  • Act as execution lead during turnaround phase and lead small projects or outages as needed

  • Develop indirect and contingency plans to support turnaround activities

  • Train and orient turnaround team members on planning and scheduling systems

Preferred Skills and Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in refinery or petrochemical turnaround environments

  • 5+ years in maintenance planning and scheduling

  • Strong knowledge of refinery maintenance practices and safe work procedures

  • Experience with Primavera P6, cost estimating, and material management

  • Proven ability to supervise planners and lead multidisciplinary teams

  • Background in procurement, bid evaluation, and vendor management

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or related field (preferred)

  • Ability to climb towers and lift up to 50 lbs; must comply with clean-shave facility requirements

The pay range for this role is $[60-65/hr]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
