Wind Quality Assurance Representative | Confident enough to stop the job?

Some people inspect work.

You protect projects.

If you’ve ever looked at a gearbox install, blade replacement, or tower component and said, “We’re not closing this until it’s right,” this is the kind of role where your opinion carries weight.

You’ll be the technical quality authority on major wind repower projects across the Midwest, helping crews get it right the first time while preventing expensive rework, schedule delays, and future failures.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform quality inspections throughout turbine repowers, retrofits, and major corrective campaigns.
  • Verify mechanical and electrical installations meet OEM specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Review torque records, alignments, measurements, tolerances, and quality documentation.
  • Identify issues before they become costly problems—and drive corrective actions.
  • Stop work when quality standards aren’t being met and partner with site leadership to resolve deficiencies.
  • Complete inspection reports, NCRs, punch lists, and photographic documentation using digital QA platforms.
  • Work alongside Site Managers, Technical Advisors, Project Managers, and field crews to continuously improve project execution.
  • Mentor technicians on installation best practices while building a culture where quality and safety go hand in hand.

What you get:

This is a long-term repower assignment supporting some of the industry’s most critical wind projects.

  • $50-$55/hour
  • Approximately 60-hour workweeks
  • $178/day per diem paid weekly
  • Company truck and gas card provided
  • IRS mileage reimbursement for mobilization and demobilization
  • Paid travel home rotations, including 20 hours of pay during your week off
  • Work with experienced wind professionals on technically challenging repower and major corrective projects across the Midwest

Who you are:

You don’t need someone looking over your shoulder to know when something isn’t right.

You have hands-on wind industry experience and understand that quality isn’t paperwork, it’s protecting turbine reliability, project schedules, and the crews doing the work. You’re respected because you’re fair, technically strong, and willing to have the difficult conversations when standards aren’t being met.

If you’ve supported repowers, commissioning, construction, OEM quality programs, or major corrective campaigns—and you know your way around gearboxes, generators, blades, RTUs, tower internals, and installation tolerances – you’ll feel at home here.

About the opportunity:

Per Sé Group is partnering with a leading wind services contractor supporting utility-scale repower projects across the United States. We’re looking for experienced professionals who take pride in delivering work that’s right the first time.

Curious what projects you’ll be supporting? Reach out. We’ll walk you through the scope, rotation, and travel schedule before you decide whether it’s worth exploring.
