You became an Analyzer Technician because you like solving the problems that stump everyone else.

When a Gas Chromatograph drifts, a CEMS goes down, or a sample conditioning system starts acting up, you’re the person people call. If you’d rather spend your day troubleshooting analyzers than replacing transmitters, this opportunity is worth a conversation.

A major Gulf Coast refinery is adding experienced Analyzer Technicians to help keep critical process analyzers reliable, compliant, and running at peak performance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain online process analyzers that keep refinery operations running.
  • Diagnose difficult analyzer failures and solve the root cause, not just the symptom.
  • Maintain Gas Chromatographs (GCs), CEMS, Mass Spectrometers, Tunable Diode Laser (TDL), Chemiluminescence, oxygen, NOx, CO, CO?, H?S, BTU, pH, conductivity, combustible gas, and other analyzer systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot analyzer sample conditioning systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, validations, calibrations, and emergency repairs.
  • Work alongside Operations, Engineering, Environmental, and Maintenance to maximize analyzer reliability.
  • Support unit startups, shutdowns, outages, turnarounds, and reliability improvements.

What you get

  • $75/hour
  • $100/day per diem
  • IRS mileage for mobilization and demobilization
  • Approximately 50 hours per week
  • Day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • One-year contract at a major Corpus Christi refinery
  • The chance to spend your time doing specialized analyzer work, not general instrumentation.

Who you are

You’re an experienced Analyzer Technician who can work independently without waiting for someone else to tell you where to start. You know your way around Gas Chromatographs, sample systems, and online process analyzers, and you enjoy solving the kind of problems that require experience – not guesswork. You take ownership of equipment reliability, work safely, and communicate well with Operations and Engineering.

Curious? Reach out for the refinery details and let’s talk through the work before you decide whether it’s worth pursuing.
