Quality Manager – Utility-Scale Renewable Energy / BESS

Per Sé Group is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support construction of a large-scale renewable energy project. This is a hands-on field leadership role responsible for implementing the project quality program, overseeing inspections, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring construction meets drawings, specifications, codes, manufacturer requirements, and industry best practices.

Utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) experience is highly preferred, although strong candidates with quality leadership experience across solar, wind, substations, or other utility-scale energy construction will also be considered.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead implementation of the site Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) program
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, contracts, installation manuals, submittals, codes, and standards
• Coordinate pre-construction quality alignment meetings with EPC contractors
• Oversee quality activities across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction
• Manage Quality Inspectors and field inspection activities, as applicable
• Conduct quality surveillance and identify installation deficiencies and potential systemic issues
• Participate in First Build / Golden Row / Golden Tower inspections
• Issue and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions
• Review contractor inspection checklists, testing documentation, and calibration records
• Monitor construction for compliance with manufacturer requirements and applicable industry standards
• Analyze inspection results and trends to drive continuous improvement
• Maintain quality records, lessons learned, and project documentation
• Partner with Construction and Safety leadership to promote safe, high-quality project execution

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

• 3–5+ years of construction quality / QA/QC experience
• Quality management experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects
• BESS / utility-scale battery construction experience strongly preferred
• Experience with solar, wind, substations, or other power generation projects also highly valued
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contract exhibits, and installation requirements
• Knowledge of applicable construction codes, standards, testing, inspection, and equipment calibration requirements
• Experience leading inspectors or other field quality personnel preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality risks before they impact the project
• Excellent communication, leadership, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote
