You don’t have to join a billion-dollar GC to run serious work.
Here’s the alternative: $10–15M general commercial and light industrial projects with a growing $75–100M contractor where you’re still close to the people making the decisions.
The company is growing and wants to take on more work. They’re looking for a Project Manager who doesn’t just want to maintain projects—they want someone who can own them from the early conversations through final closeout.
What you’ll own: You’ll have responsibility for the design, cost, schedule, quality, and financial performance of your projects, working closely with the Superintendent, project team, and company leadership.
- Build estimates, level subcontractor bids, and help put together winning proposals.
- Develop and manage project schedules in Microsoft Project.
- Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, and design/build trades through preconstruction.
- Write scopes, negotiate subcontractor pricing, and manage buyout.
- Own budgets, forecasting, change orders, pay applications, and monthly margin reporting.
- Keep RFIs, submittals, drawings, and communication moving through Procore.
- Drive the project through turnover, final billing, and closeout.
What you get: This is the sweet spot between a small contractor and a giant GC. You’re joining an established 100–200-person organization doing roughly $75–100M in annual work, but you’ll still have access to an actively involved owner and visibility into the business.
And they’re growing. As the company takes on more projects, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of that growth instead of simply filling a seat in an established hierarchy.
Who you are: You’re the PM who wants the whole project. You understand construction, but you also understand the business behind it—schedule, subcontractors, owners, cost, margin, and getting the job across the finish line.
You’ll ideally bring 5+ years managing commercial construction for a GC, along with working knowledge of Procore, estimating, scheduling, and project cost control.
Want to know what they’re building next? Reach out and we’ll give you the project details before you decide anything.
