You know how quickly a mechanical job can get sideways when manpower, materials, sequencing, and other trades aren’t coordinated. On these projects, you’re not watching from the sidelines, you’ll be the field leader keeping HVAC and piping work moving when the schedule doesn’t leave much room for mistakes.

You’ll own the mechanical work in the field, leading crews and subcontractors through installation on large-scale data center projects. You’ll coordinate chillers, cooling towers, pumps, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, ductwork, hydronic and mechanical piping, and the systems that keep these facilities running. You’ll drive critical-path activities, coordinate with electrical, plumbing, structural and controls teams, and catch field conflicts before they turn into schedule problems.

You’ll be responsible for the stuff that makes or breaks the job: manpower and productivity, material deliveries, daily priorities, drawings and RFIs, QA/QC, punch lists, testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover. You’ll work directly with Project Managers, Engineers, Commissioning teams, clients, Foremen, and subcontractors and you’ll have the authority to make decisions in the field and keep production moving.

You’ll get $110K–$135K in annual salary and the opportunity to work on high-profile mission-critical projects with some serious mechanical infrastructure. This is a traveling role, with projects throughout the U.S., so you’ll need to be comfortable going where the work is.

You’re the person who knows mechanical construction from the field up. You can read mechanical drawings and P&IDs, understand HVAC and piping installation, coordinate multiple trades, and hold people accountable without creating unnecessary friction. Five-plus years of mechanical construction experience is required, with strong HVAC/mechanical piping experience. Data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or similarly technical project experience is valuable.
