Anyone can review an equipment package.
It takes a different kind of engineer to look at an HRSG, steam system, gas turbine, pumps, valves, piping and controls and understand what happens to the rest of the plant when something changes.
That’s the engineer we’re looking for.
You’ll be working on major combined-cycle and simple-cycle power generation projects in Oklahoma, helping take them from early engineering through construction, commissioning and startup.
This won’t be a position where the EPC does the engineering and you simply track the deliverables.
You’ll review P&IDs, specifications, calculations and vendor designs. You’ll get into HRSGs, boilers, steam and condensate systems, gas turbines and mechanical balance-of-plant equipment. You’ll work alongside Operations, Maintenance, Construction, I&C, OEMs and engineering contractors to figure out whether what looks right on paper will actually work when it’s time to operate the plant.
And when something doesn’t look right, you’ll be expected to understand why and push it toward a solution.
That means understanding more than individual pieces of equipment. You need to know operating sequences, system interactions, interlocks and cause-and-effect—and be able to think through what a mechanical change means for everything downstream.
The position is direct hire at $130,000–$140,000, plus an 8–15% bonus and a full benefits package including PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability and 401(k).
You’re someone we should talk to if you have a Mechanical Engineering degree and have spent meaningful time around power-generation projects. If you have roughly 6–7+ years of strong experience, particularly around combined-cycle plants, HRSGs/boilers and steam systems, you don’t need to have spent your career carrying a “Lead” title to be considered.
A PE is highly valued. Utility experience is even better. Experience around GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi or similar turbine technology will get our attention.
But the real question is simpler:
Can you look beyond the equipment and understand how the plant actually works?
If you can, there’s more to this opportunity worth discussing.
Want to know what’s being built and where you’d fit into it? Reach out. We’ll walk you through the project before you decide anything.
