You’re not being hired to sit in a design silo. You’ll be part of major combined-cycle and simple-cycle generation projects, working across electrical, mechanical, controls, operations, construction, EPCs, and OEMs-and eventually becoming a technical leader for major generation work.

You’ll take projects from concept to startup. That means developing scopes, reviewing designs and equipment, solving field problems, supporting procurement, and being there when the plant gets energized and commissioned. You’ll work with generators, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, MV/LV distribution, motors, VFDs, protective relaying, UPS/DC systems, and the electrical balance of plant.

You’ll also need to think beyond electrical drawings. You’ll work with I&C and operations to understand permissives, interlocks, trips, sequencing, and cause-and-effect-and how all of that interacts with gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, pumps, fans, compressors, and the rest of the facility.

The opportunity: You’ll have major capital work ahead of you, including projects tied to Horseshoe Lake and McClain. You’ll get exposure to the full project lifecycle and the chance to build the kind of plant-wide engineering judgment that can lead to technical leadership.

You’ll get: $130K-$140K base, an 8–15% bonus opportunity, and a full benefits package including PTO, healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, and 401(k).

You’re probably a fit if you have a BS in Electrical Engineering and substantial electrical engineering experience in power generation or a comparable heavy-industrial environment. You can challenge an EPC’s recommendation when your engineering judgment says something doesn’t add up. PE is strongly preferred.
