Per Sé Group is seeking a creative and collaborative Marketing & Communications Specialist to support marketing and communications initiatives for a major energy organization in Cedar Rapids, IA.

You’ll help take marketing initiatives from concept through execution, working across teams to develop messaging, coordinate campaigns, support events and sponsorships, and make sure communications reach the right audience at the right time.

What You’ll Do

• Support the development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives for internal and external audiences.

• Develop creative concepts and written content that reinforce the company brand and effectively promote programs, products, and solutions.

• Recommend appropriate marketing and communication channels based on the audience and desired response.

• Coordinate marketing activities from initial concept through execution.

• Partner with internal stakeholders and subject-matter experts to develop accurate and effective communications.

• Ensure marketing initiatives meet established objectives, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.

• Identify target audiences and apply appropriate marketing strategies to drive participation and engagement.

• Coordinate communications with other planned company initiatives to ensure consistency and avoid conflicting messages.

• Support short- and long-term marketing planning, budgeting, and project scheduling.

• Help manage events, sponsorships, and community-engagement activities.

• Participate in community events that strengthen company reputation and brand awareness.

• Work collaboratively across departments to bring marketing ideas to life.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of professional marketing, communications, or related experience.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience working within cross-functional teams to take marketing initiatives from concept through execution.

• Experience with event management and sponsorships.

• Understanding of short- and long-term marketing planning.

• Experience supporting marketing budgets and project schedules.

• Ability to develop messaging and creative concepts appropriate for different audiences.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and deadlines.

• Comfortable working with internal stakeholders and subject-matter experts.

• Proficiency with common business software and productivity tools.
