Some projects are measured by budgets and schedules. Others protect critical infrastructure and the communities that depend on it.
Per Sé Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a complex hydroelectric dam maintenance project for a leading energy organization in Wisconsin.
This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity to oversee critical infrastructure work from planning through execution and closeout, collaborating with engineering teams, construction contractors, operational stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
If hydroelectric facilities, dam or marine construction, FERC compliance, capital project delivery, contractor management, and project controls are part of your expertise, we should talk.
What You’ll Do
-
Lead a large, complex hydroelectric dam maintenance project from initiation and planning through construction execution and closeout.
-
Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and performance measures.
-
Coordinate engineering, construction, operations, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
-
Oversee contractor performance, contract administration, construction quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
-
Support compliance with FERC requirements and other applicable regulatory standards, including documentation, reviews, and stakeholder coordination.
-
Identify project risks, resolve execution challenges, and implement practical solutions to maintain progress.
-
Maintain comprehensive project plans, controls, reporting, and documentation.
-
Lead project communications and provide clear updates to technical teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
-
Support project readiness, operational transition, and final closeout.
-
Mentor project team members and promote effective project management practices.
What You’ll Bring
-
9+ years of project management experience leading large, complex capital or infrastructure projects.
-
PMP certification required.
-
Strong experience managing construction or major maintenance projects in regulated environments.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and technical stakeholders.
-
Strong project controls capabilities, including cost, schedule, risk, quality, and contract management.
-
Experience developing and maintaining detailed project plans, documentation, and performance reporting.
-
Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage complex project challenges.
-
Ability to work from the Madison office and travel frequently to the Prairie du Sac project site.
Even Better If You Have
-
Direct hydroelectric dam construction, maintenance, or rehabilitation experience.
-
Familiarity with FERC regulations and dam safety requirements.
-
Marine, heavy civil, or water infrastructure construction experience.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
-
Wisconsin Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or Dam Safety Engineer (DSE) experience.
-
Power generation or utility capital-project experience.
If you’re ready to lead a project where engineering excellence, disciplined execution, and public safety truly matter, we’d like to hear from you.
