Here are the details:
- Supports, implements and leads, all aspects of the E & W Safety Program
- Works with Safety to develop the initial “Site Specific Safety Program” during the review of the “Pre-Construction Safety Meeting” along with project specifications
- Creates and maintains the project schedule including but not limited to schedule look-a heads
- Designs and implements project plans
- Communicates directly with contractors/designers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling.
- Prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications
- Committed to continuous improvement and implementing best practices.
- Responsible for proactively managing, preventing and communicating any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
- Coaches and develops Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, project Foreman, Foreman in Training and Leadmen.
- Oversees the ensures the quality of APM’s and PE’s work
- Oversees and directs construction projects from conception to completion, on schedule, and on budget
- Ensures and adheres to all quality policies and procedures as outlined by E & W and the customer
- Ensure Coordination and direction of construction workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Meet contractual conditions of performance as outlined by the customer and E & W Construction
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Ensure that internal and external reports pertaining to job status are prepared
- Obtain permits and licenses as required
- Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
- Supports the Core Values of E & W
- Performs other duties as required
Knowledge and Skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP certification) preferred but willing to accept commensurate experience
- Good communication and organization
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and customer-focused
- Proven working experience in construction project management
- Expert knowledge of means and methods, building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Familiarity with construction management software packages
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and Human Resources Management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a goal-oriented team
