Summary
Per Se Group has an excellent contract opportunity for a Site EHS Representative to work with our wind energy client in Iowa. The ideal candidate has 3-7 years of wind industry safety experience, understands high-hour schedules, can build trust and rapport with others, and is experienced in repower projects. You will be helping our client maintain their safety goals amidst construction work involving crane lifts, rigging, and work-at-height operations, with a focus on proactive safety operations.
Responsibilities
• Support and monitor compliance with site-specific safety programs, OSHA 1926 standards, and company policies.
• Conduct daily field safety audits, JSAs, and inspections.
• Engage directly with craft crews and subcontractors to coach and reinforce safe work practices.
• Facilitate and lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-task discussions.
• Participate in and/or lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and ensure closeout of corrective actions.
• Maintain all required safety documentation, permits, and training records.
• Collaborate daily with site leadership, engineering, and construction teams to anticipate and mitigate emerging safety risks.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
• 3-7 years of EHS experience in utility-scale wind energy.
• Strong working knowledge of crane & rigging safety, fall protection systems, mechanical/electrical lockout procedures, and OSHA 1926 construction standards.
• Proven field experience in high-hour, fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Willingness to spend the majority of time on-site and lead by example.
The pay range for this role is $35-$45/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
