We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Field Coordinator to support the execution of field activities on capital projects within a refinery or petrochemical environment. This role acts as a critical liaison between field crews, contractors, engineering, and project management teams to ensure that construction work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate day-to-day field construction activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and scope.

Act as the primary point of contact between field crews, subcontractors, and project management teams.

Monitor and report on construction progress, workforce productivity, and schedule adherence.

Ensure all construction work complies with refinery safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Assist in site mobilization, logistics planning, and material delivery coordination.

Facilitate pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses (JHAs).

Identify and address field-level issues or conflicts, escalating as necessary to the Construction Manager.

Support the tracking of change orders, RFIs, and field revisions.

Maintain detailed field documentation including daily reports, logs, and inspection records.

Participate in site walkthroughs, punch lists, and turnover processes.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in construction coordination or supervision in a refinery, petrochemical, or oil & gas setting.

Strong understanding of field construction practices, safety standards (OSHA, API, etc.), and refinery protocols.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and construction documents.

Experience coordinating with multi-discipline trades (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).

Familiarity with construction scheduling tools and reporting systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.

Valid safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, TWIC, HAZWOPER) preferred.
Preferred Skills:
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project tracking software (e.g., Procore, Fieldwire, or similar).

Experience with permit-to-work systems and confined space entry protocols.

Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.

Comfortable working in outdoor, industrial site conditions for extended periods.
The pay range for this role is $[52-62/hr]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
