NOW HIRING: Interconnection Engineer | Utility-Scale Renewables ?

I’m supporting a global renewable energy developer backed by a major infrastructure investor to hire a senior Interconnection Engineer supporting large-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across key U.S. power markets.

? Pay Rate: $85–95/hour (W2)

? Location: Remote (must be based in Central or Eastern Time zones)

? Type: Temp-to-Hire

? Schedule: Monday–Friday (flexibility for ISO/utility calls)

? What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own the full interconnection lifecycle from early market evaluation through COD
• Manage and review interconnection applications, studies, and agreements
• Coordinate directly with ISOs/RTOs and utilities (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP)
• Review power system studies (power flow, stability, short circuit, SSR)
• Support compliance, registration, and commissioning activities
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Development, Construction, Compliance, and Operations teams

? What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, or interconnection engineering
• Direct experience with ERCOT and/or PJM strongly preferred
• Proficiency with PSS/E, PowerFactory, or PSCAD
• Experience supporting solar, wind, or BESS projects
• Strong communication skills with utilities, consultants, and internal stakeholders
