Summary
Per Sé is hiring a Principal Sourcing Specialist to join our Fortune 500 energy client’s dynamic procurement team, where you will play a vital role in supporting the sourcing and procurement processes across their power generation facilities. Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end process of requisitioning, sourcing, and purchasing materials and services, ensuring supplier qualification, competitive pricing, and compliance with supply chain policies.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, request quotes, and evaluate bids to identify optimal sources of supply.
- Engage, communicate, and negotiate with suppliers throughout RFQ, sourcing, and order fulfillment stages to secure advantageous terms.
- Collaborate closely with the strategic sourcing team to leverage existing agreements and identify new sourcing opportunities, including bid events and strategic partnerships.
- Facilitate clear communication with requisitioners and suppliers to ensure mutual understanding of procurement needs, delivery expectations, and supplier capabilities.
- Monitor and report on savings, procurement KPIs, and supplier performance; develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Draft, negotiate, and administer contracts and blanket agreements, updating pricing and terms as needed to ensure accuracy.
- Support cross-functional teams on procurement initiatives, project-based sourcing, outage planning, and strategic sourcing projects.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and implement metrics-driven procurement practices to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee RFQ, RFP, and bid evaluations, providing recommendations for supplier selection.
- Address procurement issues promptly, including delivery delays, invoice discrepancies, and performance concerns.
Desired Skills and Expertise
- High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus on power generation or related industries.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience managing strategic supplier relationships.
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power BI), SAP, and supply management tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating teams, influencing stakeholders, and fostering supplier partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices, bid processes, and procurement compliance standards.
- Certifications such as CPSM from ISM are desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience in sourcing across categories such as Generation, Retail, or Corporate spend.
- Experience working with SAP procurement modules.
- Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification (CPSM).

The pay range for this role is $46-$48/hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire and schedule type).
