Electrical / Instrumentation Planner
Location: Lima, OH (Local candidates only – no per diem)
Pay Rate: $61–$74/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 40 hours/week | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: 12 months (2/9/26 – 2/8/27)
Position Overview
We are seeking a local Electrical/Instrumentation Planner to support maintenance planning activities at a refinery facility in Lima, Ohio. This role is responsible for planning, estimating, coordinating, and tracking maintenance work while ensuring all activities follow safety standards, company policies, and refinery procedures.
Candidates with less experience may be considered; compensation will align with experience level and should be submitted at the lower end of the pay range.
Key Responsibilities

Review, plan, and manage approved electrical and instrumentation maintenance work requests

Develop detailed work scopes, labor estimates, material lists, tools, and equipment requirements

Track and report work order costs and maintenance records

Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Operations, Scheduling, and Purchasing teams

Ensure all work plans comply with safety policies, procedures, and refinery standards

Support daily and weekly scheduling activities to improve efficiency and cost control

Maintain accurate maintenance planning documentation and provide backup support as needed

Actively participate in safety meetings and promote a safe work environment
Qualifications
-
5+ years of instrumentation and/or electrical field experience (planning experience preferred)

Strong working knowledge of E&I maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs

Experience planning maintenance work in an industrial or refinery environment

Familiarity with SAP or similar CMMS systems

Ability to develop preventive maintenance scopes, schedules, and cost estimates

Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Project or Primavera experience is a plus

High School Diploma or GED required

Associate degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology preferred

Journeyman certification and NEC knowledge are a plus
