You’ll be helping unload, rig, install, level, align, and start up high-speed automated bakery equipment in Bessemer, Alabama. If precision mechanical installation is the kind of work you actually enjoy, you’ll have plenty to get your hands on here.

What you’ll do

• Unload and rig bakery production equipment into position
• Install, level, and precisely align machinery
• Perform mechanical assembly on high-speed production lines
• Read mechanical drawings and equipment layout plans
• Work with electrical teams and site supervisors as the line comes together
• Support equipment startup and help get the production system running
• Keep the worksite safe and organized throughout installation

What you get

You’ll work day shift, approximately 7:00 AM–6:00 PM Monday through Friday, plus a half day Saturday—about 55 hours per week, with overtime after 40 hours.

The pay is $30–$34/hour.

This is a defined installation project rather than an open-ended maintenance assignment. The project includes an initial active phase, a planned one-month production intermission, and a subsequent ramp-up period. The current assignment information lists the active contract through September 22, 2026.

Who you are

You’re a proven industrial millwright who knows that getting machinery installed isn’t just about putting bolts in holes. You understand rigging, mechanical assembly, leveling, and precision alignment—and you can work from drawings to put equipment where it belongs.

You’ll need OSHA 10, valid Forklift and Boom Lift certifications, and the willingness to work the 55-hour schedule and accept the planned production intermission.
