Some Project Manager jobs are about keeping a project moving. This one is about owning it.

You’ll be the day-to-day leader of a NASA construction effort at Marshall Space Flight Center, involved from design kickoff through mobilization, construction, commissioning, and closeout. NASA is your client. The project is yours to run.

You’ll own the job day to day. That means coordinating the design team, managing the NASA relationship, leading subcontractors, and owning the schedule and budget. You’ll be the person making sure the right conversations happen, problems get addressed, and the project keeps moving toward a completed facility.

You’ll also have strong executive support behind you. The GM and VP of Project Management stay engaged on major owner meetings, pay applications, and schedule updates but they aren’t looking over your shoulder every day. You’re the project leader.

What makes this worth a look: you get a roughly two-year runway to take a major federal project from design kickoff to a completed, commissioned NASA facility. You’ll work in a design-build environment where you’re managing the design while simultaneously preparing to build, giving you the kind of end-to-end project experience that can make your next move more valuable.

The compensation is $110,000–$135,000, and the role is based in Huntsville with a day-to-day presence at the MSFC job trailer.

You’ll fit if you’ve successfully led large commercial, institutional, or federal construction projects and you’re comfortable being the person NASA, designers, subcontractors, and your internal team turn to when something needs to get done. A four-year degree in an applicable construction/engineering field and at least five years of relevant project leadership experience are required, along with demonstrated safety/hazard identification and LEED or Green Globes project experience.

Federal experience with NASA, USACE, NAVFAC, or GSA and familiarity with federal submittals, RFIs, and pay applications will make you especially interesting.

If you want the details before deciding whether it’s your kind of project, reach out.
