You’re not here to watch a solar project happen from an office. You’ll be the owner’s boots on the ground, driving the work forward when contractors, schedules, drawings, and field conditions collide.

If you know utility-scale solar construction and like being close enough to the work to spot a problem before it becomes a change order, this is your kind of role.

What you’ll do

  • Own day-to-day onsite construction activities and hold EPCs and subcontractors accountable for safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and scope
  • Monitor installation across civil work, piles, racking/trackers, modules, DC collection, inverters, MV collection, and substation/interconnection
  • Read IFC drawings and specifications and catch field installation or quality issues before they become bigger problems
  • Track progress, costs, risks, and schedule-and push corrective action when the project starts slipping
  • Coordinate with contractors, equipment manufacturers, internal project teams, customers, and local authorities
  • Drive QA/QC, safety programs, testing, commissioning, punch list completion, and project closeout
  • Validate contractor milestones and quantities for payment while keeping the project moving toward turnover

What you get

You’ll be working on large-scale renewable energy projects in a role where your field judgment actually matters. The contract pays $70-$80/hour, with a $840/week per diem and standard mileage for mobilization/demobilization. The schedule is 7-5, approximately 50 hours per week.

Who you are

You’ve spent at least 8 years in renewable/solar construction, including at least three years supervising people. You’ve directly managed utility-scale solar construction—not just development, engineering, O&M, or office-based project controls. You know how a project gets built, where it goes wrong, and how to get contractors moving again.

The company

You’ll be supporting a renewable energy developer focused on utility-scale projects where field execution, safety, and accountability matter.

Want the details before you decide anything? Reach out and I’ll tell you more about the project and what they need from the person stepping into it.
