You’re not coming in to manage one slice of a renewable project. You’ll own execution from the early work before financial close through construction, commissioning, and final completion-and you’ll have a real seat at the table while it happens.
What you’ll own is the space between the plan and the operating asset. You’ll manage EPC contractors, major suppliers, field teams, schedules, budgets, and the issues that inevitably show up when a utility-scale project moves from paper to reality.
- Scope and manage LNTP work before financial close
- Manage EPC contractors from FNTP through final completion
- Track progress, pay applications, change orders, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate Owner Furnished Equipment through design, logistics, installation, and commissioning
- Keep internal and external stakeholders aligned with clear project updates
- Coordinate interconnection scheduling and execution
- Lead the handoff from construction into Asset Management and O&M
The projects are utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage. You’ll be close to the field without being tied to a single jobsite, traveling roughly 1–2 weeks per month to stay engaged with active construction.
What you get is the chance to work in a lean, growing renewable energy company where you’re expected to make decisions, solve problems, and improve how things get done—not wait for an established process to tell you what to do. The role pays $120K–$175K, plus a 10–20% bonus, with healthcare, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and PTO.
You’ll fit this role if you’ve actually managed utility-scale solar execution—not just supported a PM or worked on the engineering side. You’ll bring roughly 5–7 years of project execution experience, strong EPC/contractor management skills, and the ability to move between the strategic view and whatever needs fixing today. A degree and PMP are preferred, not the story.
The setup is hybrid, with a preference for Chicago and options in Austin or San Francisco. Domestic and international travel is part of the role.
If you want to know what projects are in the pipeline and how much ownership you’d really have, reach out. We’ll give you the details before you decide whether it’s worth a conversation.
