About the role

Our client is an award-winning Chicagoland-based commercial general contractor that is routinely voted a top place to work in Chicago. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage commercial construction projects throughout Chicago and nationwide. Ground-up commercial project experience with budgets from $5M – $50M+ is required, with retail, restaurant, education, and automotive project experience preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues
• Lead project teams, including project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and support staff, fostering collaboration and effective communication
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded
• Monitor project performance, conduct regular site visits, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project goals
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth

Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a history of successfully leading large-scale projects
• Ground up commercial construction projects with budgets up to $50M
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $160,000 depending on experience. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
