When a combined-cycle plant loses its Mark VI expert, everyone feels it.

This team knows where they’re strong. They also know where they need help.

If you’ve spent years chasing turbine trips through GE Mark VI, following logic to the real fault, and getting units back online, this is the kind of contract where your experience actually matters from day one.

Here’s where you’ll make an impact:

  • Troubleshoot GE Mark VI turbine control issues and diagnose trips before they become bigger problems.
  • Follow control logic to identify root causes and implement approved forces when necessary.
  • Support a combined-cycle plant during routine maintenance and emergent equipment issues.
  • Calibrate, repair, and maintain plant instrumentation and control systems.
  • Work with ToolboxST and CIMPLICITY while supporting daily plant operations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting 480V and 4160V breakers, contactors, transformers, and SF6 breakers when needed.
  • Help prepare the site for its upcoming fall outage while supporting plant reliability.
  • Work alongside experienced Operations and Maintenance personnel who simply need someone with deep Mark VI expertise.

What you get:

  • $55-$65/hour
  • $194/day per diem for qualified travelers
  • IRS mileage reimbursement
  • Monday-Friday schedule (5×8 preferred, flexibility for the right person)
  • Overtime only when the plant needs you – not because it’s built into the schedule
  • Three-month contract with the opportunity to make an immediate impact while the plant searches for a permanent replacement

You’re probably a fit if…

You know your way around GE Mark VI without needing someone to point you in the right direction. Maybe you’ve supported GE 7FA combined-cycle units. Maybe you’ve been the Mark VI expert at a simple-cycle peaker. Either way, you can navigate turbine logic, diagnose control issues, and aren’t afraid to get into the field when needed.

High-voltage experience around transformers and SF6 breakers is helpful, but the real priority is someone who can confidently troubleshoot Mark VI systems when the rest of the team needs backup.
