The best Superintendents aren’t waiting for problems to show up on today’s schedule. You’re already thinking about what happens next.
If you know how to keep subcontractors moving, spot conflicts before they become expensive, and turn drawings into a finished building, this is a chance to take real ownership of the field.
What you’ll do
You’ll run day-to-day field operations from mobilization through turnover, working closely with the PM to keep the project safe, organized, on schedule, and built right.
- Own daily site operations and set priorities for the field team
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries
- Manage the critical path, three-week look-ahead, sequencing, and recovery plans
- Identify constructability issues and schedule conflicts before they become problems
- Lead subcontractor coordination, inspections, quality control, and punch
- Coordinate MEP trades and building systems through completion
- Use Procore to keep project documentation and communication moving
- Lead the project through final completion and owner turnover
What you get
You’re looking at a $105K–$125K base salary and exposure to commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, data/technology, and TI projects – including large-scale Tilt-Up facilities.
If you like variety, you’ll get it. If you like seeing a project go from drawings, dirt, and concrete to a finished building, you’ll get plenty of that too. The organization also uses Lean Construction principles to improve project flow and collaboration between the field, office, and trade partners.
Who you are
You’ve actually run commercial projects in the field. You know how to hold subcontractors accountable without creating unnecessary drama. You stay ahead of the schedule, communicate before people have to ask, and don’t accept “we’ll get to it” as a plan.
TI or Tilt-Up experience is especially valuable. If you’ve dealt with occupied spaces, MEP tie-ins and shutdowns – or foundations, panels, erection, structural steel and everything that follows, you’ll understand the pace.
Want to know what projects are coming up? Reach out and I’ll give you the details before you decide if it’s worth a conversation.
