You know how to run a complex interior project. You don’t need someone teaching you the basics, you need the trust and responsibility to take ownership and deliver.

This is a chance to run high-finish restaurant and experiential projects from preconstruction through closeout, with the autonomy to make things happen and a team around you that knows how to execute. The work is demanding, detail-heavy, and schedule-sensitive, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting.

You’ll own the project from start to finish. You’ll:

  • Lead bidding, estimating, and proposal development for assigned projects
  • Build and manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and cost control
  • Coordinate architects, designers, consultants, landlords, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Keep complex MEP, millwork, specialty finishes, fixtures, equipment, and owner-furnished items moving
  • Stay ahead of long-lead materials, permitting, inspections, utilities, and other schedule risks
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost reporting, and client communication
  • Make sure the finished space delivers on the design, brand standards, quality, and schedule

What makes this worth a look: You’ll have real ownership rather than needing constant oversight. The project portfolio is centered on sophisticated restaurant and experiential concepts, while candidates coming from luxury or high-end retail construction are absolutely in play. Think projects with the complexity of major full-service restaurants, not simple fast-food or fast-casual buildouts.

The compensation range is $110,000–$135,000, based on experience. Chicago is preferred but not required, and you’ll travel nationally periodically, typically a few days a month depending on the project.

You’re probably a fit if you can walk onto a complicated TI project, understand what’s going on, anticipate what could derail it, and get the right people moving without someone holding your hand. You’re organized, calm under pressure, strong with clients and trades, and comfortable being accountable for the outcome.

This company specializes in construction workforce solutions, and this opportunity is about finding someone who already knows how to run the work, not someone who needs to learn it from scratch.

Curious what projects are coming up? Reach out. I’ll tell you what they’re building and what the role really looks like.
