You know mechanical construction. Now you want the kind of projects where that knowledge actually matters.
You’ll own major HVAC and mechanical piping scopes on mission-critical data center projects, from preconstruction and procurement through commissioning and closeout. Your decisions will directly affect cost, schedule, quality, and whether the mechanical systems are ready when the project needs them.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing mechanical projects from preconstruction through turnover, owning scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and client communication.
- Leading HVAC and piping scopes involving chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, pumps, hydronic systems, ductwork, and mechanical piping.
- Building and managing schedules, protecting critical-path activities, and dealing with problems before they become expensive.
- Coordinating Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, commissioning teams, owners, and other MEP trades.
- Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, buyouts, long-lead equipment, fabrication, and material deliveries.
- Watching the money—forecasts, labor projections, committed costs, changes, and overall project performance.
- Driving QA/QC, testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover while keeping the field and office moving in the same direction.
You’ll earn $110K–$135K/year while working on technically demanding projects where mechanical systems are central to the mission. You’ll get exposure to sophisticated chilled-water and cooling infrastructure, large mechanical scopes, and projects where strong planning and execution genuinely make a difference.
You’re a mechanical construction PM who can speak both field and financial. You understand HVAC and piping, can read the drawings, know how work gets installed, and aren’t afraid to challenge a bad assumption. You can manage a budget without losing sight of what’s happening in the field and keep owners, subcontractors, and your Superintendent aligned when the schedule gets tight.
Data center experience is valuable, but strong mechanical construction experience in industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other technical environments can translate.
Want to know what project you’d be stepping into? Reach out and I’ll give you the details before you decide whether it’s worth a conversation.
