Sourcing Specialist – Power Generation

Per Sé Group is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to support procurement and supply chain activities for power generation facilities throughout Texas. This remote position will work closely with business stakeholders, plant personnel, suppliers, and Strategic Sourcing to procure critical goods and services while improving cost, reliability, inventory, and supplier performance.

What You’ll Do

• Manage sourcing and purchasing activities for assigned power generation facilities and business units.

• Create and evaluate quotations and bids and recommend suppliers for selection.

• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and purchase orders.

• Coordinate technical, cost, delivery, and other procurement requirements with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services while helping resolve delivery and accounts payable issues.

• Identify opportunities to leverage spend and implement sourcing and negotiation strategies.

• Support short- and long-term cost-savings initiatives across assigned spend categories.

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with existing and prospective suppliers.

• Participate in cross-functional sourcing teams evaluating supplier capabilities and performance.

• Track supplier KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Develop, negotiate, and administer supplier contracts.

• Review and process supplier claims involving unsatisfactory materials, equipment, or delivery performance.

• Support inventory strategies that maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing shortages and delays.

• Gather and analyze market, industry, economic, spend, cost, and supplier-performance data.

• Support Supplier Diversity initiatives.

• Respond to audits, surveys, and internal or external information requests.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with established Supply Chain policies and procedures.

• Communicate sourcing decisions and their business impact effectively to stakeholders and management.

What You’ll Bring

• 3–5 years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, power generation, or related experience.

• At least 1 year of hands-on SAP experience.

• Demonstrated experience with sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and procurement processes.

• Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contracting processes.

• Ability to develop, evaluate, and administer RFQs, bids, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.

• Experience analyzing supplier performance, cost data, spend, and market intelligence.

• Understanding of inventory management and demand-fulfillment principles.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Word.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to build effective relationships with plant personnel, business stakeholders, suppliers, and management.

• Ability to make timely, fact-based procurement decisions.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred, although relevant industry experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Previous power generation or energy-industry supply chain experience is highly valued, particularly experience supporting plant procurement, materials, inventory, and supplier relationships.

This position is primarily remote, with the ability to travel to power generation facilities throughout Texas as business needs require.
