On a utility-scale renewable project, quality isn’t paperwork you catch up on at the end. You’re in the field every day, seeing what’s being installed, spotting issues early, and making sure problems don’t become expensive rework later.

What you’ll do
You’ll own the site quality program alongside the Construction Site Manager, working with the EPC and project team across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work. You’ll:

• Review IFC drawings, specifications, contract exhibits, codes, standards, and installation requirements before work starts.
• Lead pre-construction quality alignment meetings and review the EPC’s site-specific quality plan.
• Conduct daily field oversight and inspections, identifying deficiencies and potential systemic issues early.
• Manage quality surveillance, deficiency notifications, Non-Conformance Reports, and contractor inspection records.
• Participate in First Build and Golden Row/Golden Tower inspections.
• Analyze inspection and testing data, drive corrective actions, and maintain lessons learned.
• Coach project teams on quality practices and work with vendors to verify materials and equipment meet specifications.

What you get
You’re getting a field-based quality leadership role in utility-scale renewable energy, with the opportunity to influence how the work gets built rather than simply document what went wrong afterward. Pay is $55-$65/hr, with $160/day per diem available under project rules. The company provides a truck and laptop, plus a $50/month cell phone allowance.

The project is in Mendota, California, and qualifying project-based travelers can rotate home every four weeks under the company’s travel policy.

Who you are
You know construction quality from the field-not just from a document-control desk. You can read drawings and specifications, understand EPC contracts, recognize a quality risk before it becomes a rework issue, and have the communication skills to challenge problems without creating unnecessary friction.

You bring 3-5 years of related QA/QC construction experience and renewable-energy quality management experience.
