Ever been on a project where everyone sees the problem, but nobody wants to make the call?
Here’s your chance to be the person who does.
Per Sé Group is looking for a BESS Construction Manager to represent the owner on a 250 MW / 500 MWh standalone battery storage project in West Texas.
You’ll have real responsibility for how the job gets built, from electrical installation and EPC oversight through commissioning and turnover. This isn’t a position where you stand on the sidelines watching contractors work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serve as the owner’s primary on-site representative, keeping EPC contractors accountable for safety, quality, schedule, and scope.
- Oversee installation of battery enclosures, PCS/inverters, transformers, switchgear, and medium-voltage electrical systems.
- Walk the site, identify deficiencies early, and make sure problems get documented and corrected.
- Review RFIs, change orders, and contractor claims to protect the owner’s interests.
- Manage NCRs, inspections, corrective actions, and punch-list resolution.
- Coordinate electrical testing, commissioning readiness, energization, and final turnover.
Here’s what makes this opportunity worth a conversation:
- $70–$80/hour, depending on experience.
- $950/week per diem, paid weekly.
- Approximately 50 hours per week, with occasional weekends.
- Project scheduled from November 2026 through July 2027.
- Truck and laptop provided.
- Mobilization and demobilization mileage reimbursement.
- Potentially negotiable trips home.
You’ll fit right in if you’ve managed utility-scale BESS construction, know medium-voltage electrical systems inside and out, and aren’t afraid to challenge an EPC contractor when the work doesn’t match the drawings.
You understand that documenting an issue is just as important as fixing it. You’re comfortable making decisions in the field without someone looking over your shoulder.
Want to know more about the project, the EPC team, or what the owner expects? Message me. Let’s talk through the details before you decide anything.
