Summary
Per Sé Group is hiring an Instrument QA/QC Representative for an upcoming turnaround at our client’s petroleum refinery in Illinois. This refinery has a total crude oil capacity of 119,000 barrels per day. Safety is of paramount importance to our client, and it’s proven in the day to day operations that prioritize safety, teamwork, and attention to detail. This position offers $700/week per diem in addition to the hourly compensation rate. The schedule will be 7-12’s. Mobilization and Demobilization provided (mileage at the IRS rate).
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily inspection notes and document progress, issues, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as necessary.
- Keep a log of projects, progress, and status of QA deliverables.
- Monitor the placement of instrument mounting stands and instruments for compliance with plant standards and accessibility requirements.
- Ensure that the mounted height of instruments aligns with datasheet requirements and that installations function as designed.
- Conduct audits of instrument calibration and records to ensure compliance with DEP requirements.
- Monitor the receipt of instrumentation materials at the warehouse to ensure compliance with storage and handling requirements.
- Sign off on instrument loop packages upon 100% completion and successful checkout of the loop.
- Audit the pressure testing of process-connected impulse tubing, verifying test pressures and reviewing test requirements with the Instrument Inspector and Contractor prior to testing.
Preferred Skills and Expertise
- Previous experience in project instrumentation inspection is required.
- Strong knowledge of inspection procedures and industry standards.
