Summary
Per Se Group has a great opportunity for a maintenance planner with our premier oil & gas refinery client in the Midwest. The maintenance planner is responsible for both conducting core planning activities as well as managing & coordinating all planning efforts within their portfolio. 

Responsibilities
  • Oversees creation of detailed plans for maintenance execution, including coordination with the Inspection and Reliability Engineering Teams to determine technical requirements.
  • Develops Bill of Materials (BOMs); support assessing and sourcing quotes for materials and service requirements (e.g., required parts, specialized contractors).
  • Plan, estimate costs and request the staff, material and equipment necessary for approved work requests.
  • Supports the assembly and development of the maintenance plan.
  • Assembles pertinent information and documents by line item (marked up equipment drawings, Inspection Test Plans, plot plans, P&IDs, historical information, etc.).
  • Completes field walks to ensure all information is captured in the plan. Works with other planners to ensure ties are accurate and feasible based on the planned path of construction.
  • Coordinate all details relating to completion of work request--Work Scope, Labor, Tools, Material and Equipment. (This includes management of work order reporting by the tracking and recording of all costs associated with specific work orders.)

Preferred Skills and Expertise
  • Knowledge of and experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and SAP.
  • Strong organization, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a planner of refinery maintenance and heavy craft activities, and/or 10+ years of related industry experience.
  • Previous experience in ordering material and services, preparing and evaluating bid packages and developing contracts with suppliers/vendors
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills sufficient to convey both factual and conceptual information requiring detailed explanation and interpretation to staff, professional and business groups.
