Description:
Reporting to the Mechanical SME and Commissioning Manager, this position is responsible for verification and sign-off of “B & C” check-sheets for the Telecoms discipline in accordance with the Mechanical Completions Philosophy of the Project and participate in MC walkdowns. Additionally, the role will support the Commissioning of the HVAC systems into the final acceptance and handover to Operations.

Responsibilities:
- Provides hand-on commissioning support to ensure timely, safe and efficient delivery on HVAC assets
- Supports development and validation of HVAC commissioning strategies and execution plans
- Interfaces with System owners and construction counterparts to ensure alignment with commissioning strategy
- Reviews and leads execution of commissioning procedure for the HVAC scope
- Provides day to day oversight of all HVAC and HVAC PLC specialty vendors (Wozair, Thermoplant, Siemens)
- Provides PLC programming support
- Participants in the develop of the HVAC resource loaded plan
- Supports SAT of HVAC controls systems
- Provides daily log of activities and contribute to team reporting metrics
- Periodically review construction activities and progress and identify to management issues that may impact schedule, milestones or project goals
- Leads planning and provides schedule inputs to schedulers for 3 week look ahead

Competencies:
• Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with a variety of people/disciplines both internal and external to Cenovus
• Able to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks, responsibilities and people
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project
• Working knowledge of Smart Completions software, Hexagon is preferable
• Able to read and understand P&IDs, PFDs, SLDs, wiring diagrams and technical specifications
• Experience in working with construction contractors at their facility during the building and commissioning of the facilities
• Experienced in reviewing MC and Commissioning check-sheets and Walkdown Packages, understands system priorities and schedules
• Experienced in verification and close out of the punch list items and site queries to facilitate system MCs and RFSU Certificates
• Experienced in scheduling and execution of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Telecoms systems
• Familiarity with offshore health, safety and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma/certificate or journeyman in either electrical, instrumentation or telecommunications field
• 5+yrs experience in the Oil and Gas industry (preferably Offshore) with exposure to Construction, Completions and/or Commissioning of Telecoms systems
• 10+yrs experience with the Construction, Completions, Operations, Maintenance and/or Commissioning of Telecoms Systems
• Must be legally entitled to work in USA
